H.L. DARK THE SUNS present another exquisite melodic dark metal album with a lot of atmosphere, created mainly by strings and piano. The album sounds typically Finnish, not only because of the title. There is some melancholy included but actually the songs are quite lively and dynamic. Besides, most of them are catchy as hell and the rough vocals give the whole sound a basic aggressiveness. Check for example "Everywhere" or "Shadows in the Void". Favorite track: Everywhere.

Ravenna I can’t stop listening to these enchanting melodies moving like a spiral staircase. It’s a perfect melding of melodic death metal and synths to get lost in. The overall pace of the music is energetic, so it remains compelling beginning to end.
